"With the growing availability of and the Federal Governments commitment to having all new light- duty passenger vehicle sales emission free by 2035, we aim to provide our community members with a valuable opportunity to learn more about EVs.” said Emily Cormier, Sustainability Coordinator for the City of Sault Ste. Marie. “EVs are an important part of our transition to a sustainable energy future and are integral to our efforts to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

"Electric vehicles are not only fun to drive and convenient to charge (say goodbye to gas stations!), but they are also an important piece to the puzzle as we embark on the energy transition in the Sault, said Danielle Hudson, Co-Chair, Sault Climate Hub. The Sault Climate Hub is excited to help answer Saulites' burning questions about charging, available EV models, and anything else they might want to know."
